1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using QuickTake ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone who accesses QuickTake, whether through the web app at quicktake.club, any associated subdomains, or any future native applications.

2. Description of Service

QuickTake is a multi-perspective news briefing Progressive Web App (PWA). We deliver trending topics as swipeable, audio-narrated cards, each broken into three AI-generated perspectives:

• Mainstream -- the consensus view of what most coverage is saying.
• Contrarian -- the strongest case against the mainstream take.
• Wildcard -- an unexpected angle, such as historical parallels or cross-domain connections.

Additional features include:

• Audio-narrated briefings -- AI-generated voice narration for every perspective.
• Quick Take Chat -- submit any news question and receive a multi-perspective briefing on demand.
• Ask About This -- ask follow-up questions about a specific topic and get a streamed AI response in real time.
• Go Deeper -- expanded analysis with additional context and source links.

Content is generated using artificial intelligence and refreshed daily in batches matched to your timezone.

3. Account Registration

To use QuickTake, you must sign in using Google OAuth. By signing in, you agree to the following:

• You may only create and maintain one account per person.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any activity that occurs under it.
• You must provide accurate information during registration and keep it current.
• You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.

We reserve the right to refuse registration or cancel accounts at our discretion.

4. Subscription Tiers and Billing

Free Tier

Every user has access to the Free tier at no cost, which includes:

• 9 trending topics per day, delivered in three daily batches (morning, afternoon, evening).
• Up to 50 topics in your feed at any time.
• Three perspectives per topic with AI-narrated audio.
• Limited access to Quick Take Chat.
• Interstitial ads displayed every 3 topics.

Pro Tier -- $2.99/month

The Pro subscription unlocks the full QuickTake experience:

• 15 trending topics per day (up from 9).
• Up to 100 topics in your feed at any time.
• Unlimited Quick Take Chat queries.
• Ask About This -- AI-powered follow-up questions on any topic.
• Go Deeper -- expanded context and source links.
• Ad-free experience.
• Priority access to new features.

Free Trial

New users receive a 3-day free trial of Pro features. At the end of the trial, you will revert to the Free tier unless you subscribe to Pro.

Billing

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing to Pro, you authorize recurring monthly charges of $2.99 to your payment method on file.

• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your profile page.
• Upon cancellation, you retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period.
• No refunds are issued for partial months or unused portions of a subscription period.
• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable advance notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.

5. Content and AI Disclaimer

This section is important. Please read it carefully.

AI-Generated Content

All perspectives, briefings, and responses in QuickTake are generated by artificial intelligence, powered by Anthropic's Claude. The three perspectives (Mainstream, Contrarian, and Wildcard) represent analytical viewpoints designed to present multiple angles on a topic. They do not represent the opinions, beliefs, or editorial positions of QuickTake, its founders, or its team.

Not Professional Advice

QuickTake content is not, and should not be treated as:

• Professional news reporting or journalism.
• Financial or investment advice.
• Legal advice or legal opinion.
• Medical or health advice.
• A substitute for consulting qualified professionals in any field.

No Endorsement

QuickTake does not endorse any perspective as factual, authoritative, or correct. The Mainstream perspective is not presented as "the right answer," and the Contrarian and Wildcard perspectives are not presented as fringe or inferior. All three are analytical exercises intended to surface different ways of thinking about a topic.

Source Articles

QuickTake cites source articles from third-party publishers when generating perspectives. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of these source articles. The inclusion of a source does not imply endorsement of that publisher or its reporting.

AI-Generated Audio

All audio narrations in QuickTake are generated using AI text-to-speech technology (ElevenLabs). The voices you hear are synthetic. They are not real human narrators, and no human recorded the audio you listen to in the app.

Purpose

QuickTake is designed to encourage critical thinking by presenting multiple viewpoints on trending topics. The goal is to help you consider angles you might not have encountered otherwise -- not to provide definitive answers or tell you what to think. You are responsible for evaluating the information presented and forming your own conclusions.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use QuickTake in any way that:

• Abuses, disrupts, or interferes with the Service, its servers, or its infrastructure.
• Scrapes, crawls, or uses automated tools to extract content from the Service.
• Commercially redistributes, republishes, or resells QuickTake-generated content, including perspectives, briefings, and audio narrations.
• Circumvents subscription restrictions, access controls, or usage limits.
• Impersonates another person or entity, or misrepresents your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Uses the Service for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms.

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who violates these provisions, including removing content, suspending accounts, and reporting activity to law enforcement.

7. Intellectual Property

QuickTake-generated perspectives, audio narrations, briefings, and all associated content are owned by QuickTake. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our written permission.

Source articles referenced within the Service remain the intellectual property of their original publishers. QuickTake does not claim ownership of third-party content.

Queries and questions you submit through Quick Take Chat and Ask About This remain your property. By submitting them, you grant QuickTake a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process your queries for the purpose of generating responses and improving the Service.

8. Privacy

Your use of QuickTake is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Content Availability

QuickTake's content model is designed around freshness, not permanence. You should be aware of the following:

• News briefings reset daily at your local midnight by design. Topics are part of a rolling window, and older topics are removed as new ones are added.
• Ask About This responses are ephemeral and are not stored or retrievable after the session ends.
• We do not guarantee that any specific content will remain available for any period of time.

The Service is provided "as is." We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may experience downtime for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen issues. We may also modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• QuickTake is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
• QuickTake shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
• QuickTake shall not be liable for any decisions made or actions taken based on the content, perspectives, or information presented in the Service.
• Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to QuickTake in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you, but are not required to do so before taking action.

You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings or by contacting us at [email protected].

Upon termination, whether initiated by you or by us:

• Your right to access and use the Service ceases immediately.
• Any active Pro subscription will be canceled. No refunds will be issued for the remaining portion of a billing period.
• We may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by other reasonable means before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of QuickTake after updated Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using the Service.

We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page reflects the date of the most recent revision.
